Arriving back to Portland, Oregon, I am a little
surprised to be greeted with some pleasant weather.
Who knows how long it will last?

Departing the Station, I head back to Portland, Oregon. I did
have some fun, but it wasn't as great as I had hoped.

I show up early at the temp agency at 6:00 am so that I can go to work and help
tear down the tent and it's military simulation exhibit. It
takes maybe half as long to take it apart as it did to put it
up. We are done before noon.

I decide against going back to Holoman AFB for the second day.
I've already seen it all, so it would have been totally redundant.
Also, the Z-Trans does not run on Sunday, and there is no taxi
service that goes out to the base. I won't walk 4 hours for that baloney
so forget it!

Ok, so I get up and truck down to the store for a couple of
Mountain Dew's to help me wake up. Then I hop on the small
Z-Trans bus and head on over to the Holoman Air Force Base. The driver
says that typically only a few riders use this route. Today there
are precisely two riders.

I wake up quite early yet feel well rested. I surmise
that sleeping outside provides me with more oxygen. It is
rather too chilly for me this morning. I try to go back to
sleep, but it's too cold for that. Still camping is great so long
as it isn't year around.

I wake up to another not too bad nights sleep. This morning I
eat some bulgar wheat which I had prepared the night before. This food is
good because it is very cheap, very nutritious, and it can be
reconstituted from a dry form with only water, a container, and some
time, no campfire required.

I wake up at the crack of dawn at my campsite. This was the only
half way decent sleep that I have gotten from when I arrived into town.

Ok, I arrive at the labor temp agency at 7:00 in the morning.
A guy in a machine shop next door gave me a few bucks to go get
some coffee as the night before was bitter cold and I was still
feeling the effects of that chill. Pacing helped to both keep me
awake and to stay warm.

I learned during my voyage that the best place to
sit on a Greyhound bus is way in the back right next
to the toilet. Not only are you right next to the toilet
so that if you need to use it, then you
don't need to walk along the aisle as you bump into people and
while jostling about apologizing all the time to other patrons
on this moving coach, also this is the only seat where you can actually
stretch out your legs. As an added bonus, if the bus in not crowded
then you can lay across the three seats. All other seats are two place seats.
This seat is directly in back of the aisle. The only disadvantage to this is that
the toilet sometimes smells very bad. I can somehow tolerate this.

It had been raining for three days solid in the City of Portland, Oregon
and was certainly raining today. I took the Max commuter train down to
the Greyhound station so that I would not have to park my in town
transportation and so that I would not have to inconvenience anyone.
Incidentally, I think that Portland has great public transportation, it's just
that the city pays far too much for it. I got soaked besides.

Well, it has been a very long time from the last that I updated
this site. I am happy to do so. I had to remove some bad links.
I added a few new sections, the Video section and the Space Solar
Power section. Internet videos are now very popular, so why not?
I enjoy watching YouTube myself. Unfortunatley Space Solar Power
is not so popular. Will that ever change?
At the moment the forms in the Contact and the Submit Links pages
don't work, and I apologize for that. This is in the list of things
to do.
The very good news is that I will be attending this years X-Prize Cup
in Alamogordo, New Mexico. It should be great and am very excited about
attending. I will be bloging the event and using my camera. I hope to
take some great shots of machines flying through the air.

I validated all of the link in the site. Most noteable
loss was Mircorp.com. Rest in Peace. I now have 372
active links. My goal is 500!

I still haven't done any link validation or added any new
links. On the other hand I have inserted a couple of forms
pages, one for SUBMIT LINKS and the other for CONTACT. So,
if you have any links for me or just want to leave a comment
or suggestion, then please do.

Well I haven't done anything which I said that I would do last week.
But I have uploaded all of my images from my voyage to the
X-Prize Cup. This is a week-long event held in Alamagordo
and Las Cruces New Mexico in October of every year. They
can be found in the EVENTS ATTENDED area. If you are
interested in personal spaceflight, then this is the fest
for you.
I still want to write an article describing my experiences
and impressions of the event. I must make myself do this.

Here I am sweeping away the dust of construction. In many
areas raw stone is still visable. Much has yet to be done.
Things to do. Test all of my links for dead links. Make
sure that the link descriptions are still up to date.
Some link descriptions are even still missing. After
that I need to concentrate on bringing in more links, I must
be missing quite a few. Also put in a contact form.
