This event was held every year in July at OMSI, the
Oregon Mueseum of Scicene and Industry. I helped the Oregon L5
host a booth or two for a few years.
We had good mock Mars rovers which were driven by
remote control via CCTV. The children lined up to
drive a Mars rover. One rover was an
RC car bought at Radio Shack and convered into a
rover by having a "facelift" and the other was a
model rover created by
PARTS
which is the Portland Area Robotics Society.
